Quarter-light mechanism (early type)
This is the very early version of the quarter-light window mechanism. It is a thread and nut system, whereas the later version (fitted to most of the production of cars) uses a worm-gear system. The illustrated system is believed to have come from the 10th 2 Litre built, in 1947.
