Door trim panel

The above photo shows the left-hand door trim panel. It is amde from thin plywood coveed in leather, with a strip of carpeting along its lower edge.

This close up of the front bottom corner, shows the carpeting with leathercloth binding around its edges. The lower edge of the trim panel is fixed to the door frame with round nails. The nail-heads are virtually invisible in the carpet pile.

A close up near the bottom edge, showing both the carpeting edge and also the stitching along the piping that surrounds the central padded area.

The back view showing the plywood and how the leather is folded around it. There is a wooden stiffening batten just above the door pocket opening. You can faintly make out the body number, 354, written in both large and huge figures.

A closer look at the door pocket aperture.
